The production process of a Rotary union slip ring involves several precision manufacturing steps:

 

First, material preparation

Quenching: After heating to a certain temperature, the slip ring is cooled rapidly to improve its hardness and wear resistance. The quenching process requires strict control of the cooling speed and cooling medium to avoid cracks or deformation.

Tempering: After quenching, the slip ring may need to be tempered to remove internal stress and improve toughness. The tempering temperature and time should be determined according to the material and performance requirements of the slip ring.

 

Fourth, surface treatment

Cleaning: The slip ring is cleaned to remove oil, oxides and other impurities from the surface. The cleaning process may include steps such as solvent cleaning, alkali washing, pickling, etc.

Coating: In order to improve the electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the slip ring, it may be necessary to coat its surface with a layer of metal (such as gold, silver, copper, etc.) or alloy. The plating process requires strict control of bath composition, current density and plating time.

Polishing: The slip ring is polished to improve its surface finish and reduce the coefficient of friction. The polishing process may include steps such as mechanical polishing, chemical polishing or electrochemical polishing.

 

Five. Assembly and testing

Assembly: The slip ring is assembled with other components (such as the rotary joint body, seals, etc.) to form a complete rotary joint. The assembly process needs to ensure the accuracy of the fit between the components and the sealing performance.

Test: Test the assembled rotary joint, including electrical performance test (such as contact resistance, insulation resistance, etc.), mechanical performance test (such as rotation life, torque, etc.) and environmental adaptability test (such as temperature cycle, humidity cycle, etc.). The test process requires strict control of the test conditions and test methods to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the test results.
